Celebrating the bike commuters on Winter Bike to Work Day in Boulder, CO, on January 18, 2012. At the Dushanbe Teahouse, no less, because African songs, Asian teahouses, and bike commuters go together so well on windy, wintery mornings. The hot chai was delicious.

You might see a certain group of Underpass Singers at the Teahouse Breakfast Station on Winter Bike to Work Day, Wednesday, January 18, 2012. Yay for Bike to Work Day! It’s one of our favorite holidays of the year. See Boulder and Go Boulder’s web site for more information on Bike to Work Day.

And here’s a video of us singing at the Teahouse on Winter Bike to Work Day last year. The weather was great in the morning, but a big snow storm hit town around 3pm, making for an exciting bike commute home. Watch the end of the video to see our breakfast-going-bike-commuter-fans!

Random Act of Song on the Pearl Street Mall

We had a great time singing Christmas carols mixed in with songs from southern Africa – on the Pearl Street Mall on December 18th. We represent a mixture of religions and lack of religions, AND we enjoy a good spiritual as much as the next person. Merry Singing to you all and Happy Solstice!

We recently performed at the Zimbabwean Music Festival in Corvallis, Oregon. Thank you Zimfest for putting on such a GREAT event! We had a blast!

July 30th at the Farmers’ Market

Save the date: July 30th we’ll sing at the Boulder Farmers’ Market, in the food court area, from about 9:15am-10am or so. Come on by and listen to some choral harmonies while you pick up your beets and garlic for the week.

The underpasses along the Boulder Creek path were fun and full of water today. Not so good for singing though.

Bike to Work Day, Wednesday June 22

One of the Boulder Bike Underpass Choir’s favorite holidays is Bike to Work Day, which is tomorrow, June 22!! To help celebrate, we will be singing at the South Side Walnut Cafe (in the Table Mesa shopping center, near Savers) from about 8am-9am. Stop on by if you’re in the neighborhood!
